The South Building, this is the budget building. This is in the middle of the east and West building has izzakaya restaurant. This building is perfect for twins and singles that want to get out on the slopes and skiing. The gondola access from near the lobby will take you to the top of the mountain.

Chalet Shiga is situated in the ichinose ski area which is Shiga Kogen’s largest village of over 20 hotels. The hotel backs onto the family ski area of Ichinose and has great views as it is surrounded on both sides by ski runs. Yakebitaiyama hosts 20 courses and 9 lifts providing the largest coverage of all ski fields within Shiga Kogen. 

You can spend the day skiing from Okushiga Kogen to Yakebitaiyama, making your way through Nature viewing, Panoramic, Olympic and International race courses. Night Skiing is also available on some runs and Yakebitaiyama gives access to Shiga Kogens only Free Ride Park. If you are looking to spend your day at a different mountain there is also a free shuttle bus to Ichinose Ski area.
